I’m in the process of updating my Plextor SSD firmware. I noticed that there are 2 versions of the download file, an .EXE file and an .ISO file. What is the difference between the two?
The .EXE firmware file will only work within Windows Operating System. The ISO file allows you create a bootable CD or USB that allows you to update firmware outside your operating system. This method is used if you don’t have a windows based PC.
