Two powerful mechanisms deliver True Protect’s exclusive full data protection. Data integrity using the Marvell ® 88SS9187 control chips 128-bit error correcting function to check and correct data read from flash memory, combined with a second layer of read protection using the Robust Data Hold-out Algorithm an exclusive system stored in the Plextor’s M5 Pro Xtreme’s firmware. Data security that meets the needs of business users using the highest level of AES full-drive encryption 256-bit.



During development the M5 Pro Xtreme was required to pass 500 hours of testing simulating real world operating.  Groups of 400 were tested and refined until the  SSD was able to pass the test with zero-errors . During manufacturing each individual drive also needs to pass a rigorous high-temperature burn-in process and accelerated operation simulation to ensure total stability. The M4 Pro Xtreme combination of 2.4 million hours Mean Time Between Failures and tough testing for every single drive gives it unequalled endurance.
