Enable the write caching function of the NVMe device
Please follow the steps below if you are a Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 user.
Step 1
Settings → About → Related settings Device manager
Step 2
Click the drives icon
Select NVMe drive and right click to select the Properties from the menu.
Step 3
Policies →Write caching policy
Tick (✓) the option "Enable write caching on the device (W)”
Speed test result:
Write caching not enabled (Example: M8Pe)
Write caching Enabled (Example: M8Pe)
If you work SSD drive’s performance by AS SSD Benchmark, please tick (✓) on the option of Windows Write-cache buffer flushing (F) due to compatibility of AS SSD Benchmark.
This option is not to be ticked for normal use except for estimating SSD drive’s performance by AS SSD Benchmark. Hence, please disable the Windows Write-cache buffer flushing (F) once you finish benchmark test.
